Avi and Stella are amazed that you were so close to these wild animals. They think the cheetah's meal was a bird. We would like more photos, especially giraffe when you find them. Looks like the weather is not too cool for winter. I will bet you are SO enjoying the US-England match. Miss you!
Every four years, somewhere on Earth, soccer players from 32 nations gather to compete in the planet's greatest sporting spectacle; the FIFA World Cup. Very often, FIFA selects established, predictable and optimally marketable nations to host this lucrative event. For 2010, FIFA took a risk and awarded the Tournament to South Africa. Unlike previous hosts Germany, France or Italy, South Africa is not yet a well-worn tourist destination. The Fosters and Campbells will follow FIFA's lead and travel to South Africa as a group of eight; four adults, two teenagers and two graduating 5th graders. Along the way, all eight of us will contribute blog entries about exotic locales, thrilling soccer games and unique experiences. Why write this Travelblog? Vicarious escapism for our friends. Stealth homework for the kids. Fun for us.
Amazing pictures!
